It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend, James “Jimmy” Bouchard, who passed away on July 31, 2026.

Jimmy joined CDS in 1988 and, at that time, resided at our Ridge Road IRA. Over the years, he made his home at French Road and attended BCO at Hard Road, where he built lasting friendships and became a cherished member of our CDS family.

Jimmy was known for his independent spirit and love of adventure. One of his greatest joys was riding his bike, often making trips to Dunkin’ Donuts or through Pittsford Village. On Sundays, he looked forward to attending church with his brother, a tradition that meant so much to him.

Jimmy shared a special bond with his housemates and peers. Whether sitting together on the couch watching television, sharing laughs, or simply enjoying each other’s company, his smile and warm presence brought joy to those around him. He also had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to songs from every genre. His favorite song, “I Swear” by All-4-One, was one that always brought him happiness.

James will be remembered for his determination, kindness, and the joy he brought to those who knew him. He leaves behind countless memories and a lasting impact on friends, staff, and loved ones alike. He will truly be missed.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate James’s life at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY 14623) on August 21, 2026. A period of calling will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery.
