Erik DeWinde
November 28, 1991 – August 11, 2026

Erik DeWinde, age 34, passed away on August 11, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Throughout his illness, Erik fought fiercely for his life. Until the very end, he held on with a strength and determination that reflected the spirit he carried throughout his life.

Erik loved deeply and lived with a heart that was impossible to overlook. His family and friends meant the world to him, and the bonds he shared with them were among the greatest joys of his life. He had a personality all his own—passionate, outspoken, and, at times, blessed with a temper that could certainly make itself known. But beneath it all was a tremendous capacity for love, loyalty, and devotion to the people he cared about.

One of Erik’s greatest joys and proudest roles in life was being a father to his son, Skyler. Erik loved being a dad, and there was nothing more special to him than the time he spent with his son. Whether they were doing something big or simply enjoying the ordinary moments together, being with Skyler was always a highlight of Erik’s life. Those moments brought him happiness, gave him strength, and created memories that will be cherished forever.

Erik had a creative and curious spirit. He found joy in art and music, appreciating the beauty, emotion, and expression they brought into his life. He also had a special love for sneakers, which he collected and treasured. Each pair was part of a passion and a reflection of his unique personality and style.

One of the most precious relationships in Erik’s life was with his grandmother, Shirley. Their bond was close, loving, and deeply special. The love they shared was a source of comfort and joy, and the memories they created together will remain treasured by those who knew them both.

Above all, Erik was a son, a brother, a father, a grandson, and a friend. His greatest legacy will not be the things he collected or the places he went, but the love he gave and the memories he left behind. He will be deeply missed, but he will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Erik is survived by his beloved son, Skyler; his father, Richard Conlon; his mother, Debra (Gerald) Zeiner; his sisters, Kendra DeWinde and Tiffany Conlon; his beloved dog, Bia; and countless extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Though his time with us was far too short, Erik fought until the end, loved with his whole heart, and left an unforgettable mark on the people around him. May he finally be at peace, surrounded by the love he gave so freely during his life.
