John Mihalitsas passed away August 24, 2026, at the age of 66. He was born in Florina, Greece in February 14, 1960 and moved to the United States in 1967.

John spent most of his life working in the restaurant industry. As a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, he transitioned later in life to working at the Al Sigl VA Center.

He was predeceased by his father, Pantelis Mihalitsas; and is survived by his mother, Aneta Mihalitsas; his siblings, Kosmos (Michele) Mihalitsas, and Angie Mihalitsas; his nieces, Christina and Amanda (Christopher); and great-niece, Sawyer.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Friends and family are invited to gather for calling hours from 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM Service all held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 962 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607. Interment to follow at White Haven Memorial Park.
