Elaine Josette [Giorgione] Cucchiara passed away peacefully in her home on September 11, 2026, at age 86.

Elaine was born on November 29, 1939, the eldest daughter of Lewis F. and Helen G. Giorgione. She graduated from Franklin High School in Rochester in 1958, and married Vince on September 19, 1959.

She is predeceased by her loving parents, brother-in-law Paul Cucchiara, nephew Christopher Cucchiara, and niece Cherie Cantu.

Elaine is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, Vincent Cucchiara, Sons Lewis (Francine), Todd (Joahn), and grandchildren Lewis (Livia), Michael (Nicole), Regina, Gianna, her sister, Beverly McGuire, brother-in-law Russell (Kathy) Cucchiara, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Elaine served as a lifeguard under her father’s command and obtained her hairdressing license shortly after high school. Though she kept her license, she spent some time as a stay-at-home mom before working several years in retail. Elaine finished her career with 34 years as an aide in the Rush Henrietta School District, where she managed the Roth MS bookstore. She loved guiding students in the bookstore operation until her retirement in 2016.

Elaine was a parishioner of St. Marianne Cope Parish for 60 years. She loved everything related to her family, the Christmas season, and of course her cottage where family members would gather together.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 15th, 2026, 1-3pm and 5-7pm at Miller Funeral Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. South. Funeral Service will be Wednesday September 16, 2026, at 10am at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angel’s Church with entombment at Ascension Gardens following the Mass.
