Shirley Gerow Hoag

On September 10, 2026, at age 93. She was predeceased by her husband, David Hoag; daughter, Barbara Hoag; parents, Thomas and Hazel Gerow; three sisters, Betty (Dan) Hobby, Doris (Bill) Parmeter and Janet (Tom) Stocum; brother-in-law, James Reid.

She is survived by her son and his family in Switzerland, David Hoag; granddaughters, Jessica (Danu) Fuhrer and Virginia Hoag; great-granddaughter, Matilda Fuhrer; sister, Beverly Reid and her special friend, David Senn; several nieces and nephews.

A special and kind woman to all who knew her.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, 11 AM at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels (2061 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14623). Interment will follow at Ascension Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Donate Online.
