Charles L Carey of Henrietta/Black Lake, NY , passed away on September 20, 2026 at the age of 92. Charles was born in Canton, PA and moved to Rochester, NY when he was sixteen.

Charles loved to roller skate, fish, hunt , go bowling and play cards. In the early 1960’s he started his own business known as Carey’s Seamless Gutters in Rochester, NY until 1985 when he moved to Azle, Texas and continued his gutter business there until the age of 70 when he retired to Black Lake, NY so he could fish all he wanted. He loved his children and grandchildren very much and enjoyed their visits!

He is predeceased by his wife Audrey of 71 years, and his son Thomas Carey.

He is survived by his children: Wanda (Dana) Drake of Pittsford, NY; Jeff (Kim) Carey of Livonia, NY; Kelly (Todd Whittenberg) Patrick of Copemish, MI and Sherrie Pinkston of Black Lake, NY; Daughter-in-law Tamara Carey of Fort Worth, TX; and special niece Tina (Tyler) Child of Azle, TX; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
