Harvey Limbeck

Harvey passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026. He was born in Rochester, NY on January 4, 1929, to Joseph and Agnes Limbeck. He leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 75 years, Yvonne.

He is survived by his children Joseph (Annette), John (Ann), Mary (Steven) Wu, Thomas, and Stephen (Kelly). He was predeceased by his grandson Christopher Limbeck and survived by his grandchildren Philip (Tori) Limbeck, Victoria Limbeck, Susan (Brian) Cullum, Sarah Wu, Charles (Beth) Wu, Leah Wu, Julie (Charles) Hammer, Jared (Julia) Limbeck, Maggie (Zach) Limbeck and 11 great grandchildren.

Harvey attended Aquinas Institute and Niagara University and was the oldest partner at Ernst and Young. He was a proud Marine. After years of volunteering as a docent and educator at Ganondagon, the Seneca Nation adopted Harvey and gave him the name “Sagoya’dage:has” (He Helps Them). He participated in many Scottish gatherings and events and was adopted into Clan Ferguson.

Dad had many passions. He loved horses and was a member of the Hopper Hills Hunt where he was Master of the Hounds as well as a board member and participant at the Walnut Hill Carriage Show. He enjoyed daily walks with his Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Shaka and Bisa where they would walk thousands of steps around his farm. Dad was a very talented wood carver who gifted handcrafted walking sticks to many family and friends. He compiled a library of over 3000 books and instilled a love of reading in his children. But most of all he cherished moments with Yvonne, his family and friends.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home (3325 Winton Road South) on Friday September 25 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday September 26 at 10am at St. Catherine of Siena Church (26 Mendon-Ionia Rd.) Donations may be made to Rochester Hope, 80 Prince St. Rochester NY 14605.
