Dr. Drucilla “Drucie” A. Estey
Dr. Drucilla “Drucie” A. Estey went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday December 19, 2020 after bravely fighting numerous health issues that plagued her for many years. Drucilla was born on March 17, 1951 to Allan Estey Jr. and Janet (Johnson) Estey. Her family moved to Henrietta NY where she graduated from Rush Henrietta Sperry high school in 1969.
Drucilla started working at the Cartwright Inn when she was 14. She went on to manage the Marriott and Tidbits while still in her teens and soon opened her own successful consulting business, saving struggling bars and restaurants.
After a Gonstead Chiropractor fixed her numb arm, Drucilla walked away from the restaurant business to pursue her life’s calling. She did her undergraduate work at R.I.T. and received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree Magna Cum Laude from the Life Chiropractic College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1985. She studied the Gonstead method extensively under the tutelage of Dr. Alex Cox becoming one of the first female Gonstead Diplomates in the world.
Dr. Estey was the Director of Henrietta Chiropractic, P.C. from 1986-2016. During those years she used the Gonstead technique and her out of the box thinking to fix difficult cases earning her a huge following of loyal patients from all over the country.
Drucilla was known for her kindness, intensity, sense of humor, and patriotism. A staunch supporter of our veterans, she was especially proud of her parent’s service in WWII. She loved cooking, dancing, reading, traveling to beaches, a wide range of music, and cats. She credits the edge she had in her treatment room to being born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Having a near death experience at 19, Drucilla realized “We are only here for one reason… to love one another”.
Predeceased by her parents and brother Allan Estey III, she is survived by her sister Mariea Estey. Drucilla will be greatly missed by her Aunts, Uncles, cousins, patients and close friends.
