Thomas Scott Carrier

 

 

 

Rochester: Passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021 at age 49. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert J. Carrier; paternal grandparents, Sam and Marie Carrier; maternal grandparents, Jim and Ellie Somerville.

He is survived by his parents, Dr. Robert and Myra (Somerville) Carrier; sister, Kathy (Mark) Anibal, their sons, Austin, Ben & David; brother, David (Lauri) Carrier, their children, Rob, Pete, Joe and Katie; sister, Susan (Bill) Lipe, their children, Charlie, Hannah and Sam; sister, Kim (Tom) Simpson, their children, Tori, Tyler and Cooper; sister, Carolyn Carrier Hopfinger, her children, Jake, Max and Abby; 4 great-nieces and great-nephews, his best friends, Brian, Chester and David as well as his Heritage Christian and UNISTEL families.

Tom was a resident of Heritage Christian Services and worked at UNITSTEL, packaging spices. He was a Special Olympic Swimmer, winning several medals and awards as well as bowling with the Special Olympics. He was a proud Eagle Scout and member of Fairport Troop #26. Tom enjoyed annual trips with his family to Cape Cod, Florida, camping with the Scouts at Camp Russel and the Sunshine Camp; he loved miniature golf, boating dancing, singing, and spending quality time with his Golden Retriever dogs. Tom was an avid Disney Movie fan and word search puzzler.

The family would like to offer sincere appreciation to the staff at Heritage Christian and Rochester General Hospital for their wonderful care of Tom. He will be remembered by all he touched with his kind, caring smile and heart.

Services and Interment will be held privately.
