June 21, 1930 – April 21, 2021

Predeceased by his parents, Raymond & Marie Derleth, wife, Jean Derleth, and close friend, Jack Sherman.

Harry is survived by his long-time companion, Mary Anne Brice, Lisa (Dan) Morse and his caring neighbors Doug, Pinky and Landon Brice.

Harry served in the United States Marine Corps. in the Korean War.

Harry was involved with stock car racing and B&M Speed Shop. He was a long time member of the Rush Lion’s Club and The American Legion. He was also a member of the Rush Senior Group and enjoyed many trips with good friends. Harry was the caretaker at the Rush Range for 25+ years. He took great pride in keeping the range looking top notch!

A big thank you to Scott Enter for his morning phone call to Harry every day! Thank you to his good friend, Tex Holtby, for his friendship and support. Thank you to all the health care aides that took such wonderful care of Harry the last year. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Highland Hospital and to the Hospice Nurses for their compassionate care. Harry was blessed to have such caring neighbors and great friends in his life. Harry will be deeply missed by many!

Family and friends are invited to call on SUNDAY, April 25, from 2-4 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd S). Due to NY Mandates, please CLICK HERE to register for calling hours. Harry’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 26, at 10AM at St. Marianne Cope – St. Joseph’s Church (6105 Rush Lima Rd.). Interment Holy Ghost Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Veterans Outreach Center (447 South Avenue) and Highland Hospital – Palliative Care (1000 South Avenue).
