C. Joseph Schrank, 86 years old, of Irondequoit, passed away peacefully on May 18 2021, with loved ones by his side. Joseph was born in Irondequoit on May 31, 1934. Son of Charles L. Schrank and Margaret Kathryn (McCarthy) Schrank. Predeceased, in addition to his parents, by his former wife Mildred Irene (Redinger)Schrank. Joseph is survived by his two daughters Mary E. Vindigni(Gilbert) (Webster, NY), Teresa Schrank(Bo)(Penfield, NY) and two sons Michael A. Schrank (Harker Heights, Tx), and Donald L. Schrank (Fayetteville, N.C.), Grand Children, Derek, Troy, Megan and Jennifer.
Joe Graduated from Edison Tech High School in Rochester, NY. He went on to have a career working at Gleason Works as a tool maker for 25 years. His passion for guns, especially, Winchesters, took him to numerous gun shows over the years. He enjoyed reading and researching US history involving the Civil War and World War II. Joe loved riding horses and watching old western movies as well as old Military movies. Loved old cars.
Joe was a devout Catholic and Parishioner of St. Ambrose Church, and later the Church of Annunciation
Friends and family may call Monday May 24, 2021 from 5-7 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Rd. S, Rochester, NY 14623. Joe’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday May 25, 2021 St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Parish at The Church of the Annunciation, 1760 Norton St., Rochester, New York 14609. Interment White Haven Memorial Park. The family has asked that Masks not be mandatory, but please wear one if you so choose.
