Mary Elaine passed away on June 19th, 2021. She is survived by her loving companion, Richard Burandt; devoted daughter, Elaine Buisch; dearest sisters, Lucille Newell and Judy Conley; granddaughter, Adrienne Seese; great-grandsons, as well as several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Mary Elaine Aldoretta was a wonderful, special person. She had loving sympathetic concern for other people both in her personal and business life. That along with her keen intelligence created a successful business career. She became the first woman supervisor in Kodak’s Equipment Service Division while working in New York City. She graduated from the University of Rochester while working full time. She was also involved with the Rochester Guild for Special Children. Also, for a time before working at Kodak, she taught in the elementary Catholic schools. Mary Elaine was active in the Rochester Garden Club, and was a volunteer at Genesee Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, book clubs, going to the RPO and attending art gallery events. She was a member of the Chatterbox Club and enjoyed going there with her many friends. Most of all she enjoyed traveling the world with her companion Dick Burandt. They had many travel enjoyments and adventures over their years together. Mary Elaine will be terribly missed by many.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on July 9, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Church, 43 Gebhardt Rd, Penfield. Interment at White Haven Memorial Park.
