Charleen DeWindt, 83, of Pittsford, NY, passed away peacefully on July 10 after receiving brief hospice care at home. She was born on October 23, 1937, in Rochester, NY. Charleen graduated from St. Mary School for the Deaf in Buffalo, N.Y. Charleen married the late Vincent DeWindt in 1960 for 43 years. Charleen was a loving mother and grandmother and was fiercely proud of her family. She enjoyed spending time with them. She has been described as a sweet lady. After she retired from Kodak, she enjoyed traveling abroad in Europe and here in the States.

Charleen is survived by her siblings Terry and the late Tom Crimmens and their families; her children Kevin DeWindt, Lisa DeWindt-Sommer (Mark), Tim DeWindt (Roni), Lori DeWindt and her four grandchildren, Jennifer DeWindt-Hanley (Dillon), Kieran Sommer, Emily DeWindt, and Kaitlin Sommer.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 30, at 10 a.m. at the Emmanuel Church of the Deaf at St. Monica Church, 831 Genesee St, Rochester, NY 14611. We encourage masks and social distancing to take place at the church.
