Passed away peacefully at the Episcopal Church Home on Mt. Hope Avenue on August 3, 2021, at the age of 87. John was pre-deceased by his wife of 35 years, Betty Anne; and his daughter Therese (Bernard, Kevin). John is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary “Jane”, who joined him on August 8, 2021; his sons and their wives Peter (Ana), Edward (Mary Alice), his daughter Mary Younge, his step daughters Kelly (Tom) and Jenny (Steve), 11 grandchildren and 14 (soon to be 15) great grandchildren, his sisters Betty Miller and Peggy May, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
John attended Aquinas High School and was a member of the 1st graduating class of St. John Fisher College. Active in Church and Community in Rochester and Henrietta until age and Covid slowed him down.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at a Memorial Mass at the Chapel at St. John Fisher College (3690 East Avenue) on SATURDAY, September 25th at 10:00 AM. Click HERE for a map to St. John Fisher College.
