Ethel “Lee” Homer Cascino of Brighton went home to be with her heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at age 74. After a courageous twenty year battle with Parkinson’s she passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Predeceased by her parents Earl and Edis Homer, she is survived by her children Erik (Anna) Viel, Joshua (Michelle) Ancello, Ashley (Justin) Gillan and grandchildren Nicole, Micah, Hannah, Lily, Brody & Piper. Also siblings Cheryl (Jim) Duclos, Elaine de la Rionda, David Homer and Candy (Ken) Gerew, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved aides, Lynnette, Mela, Idella, Erica and Glynda. Lee’s family would also like to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by her URMC hospice caregivers.

Despite her illness, Lee maintained her fighting spirit, her strong sense of humor and her kind and generous nature. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren. Lee will be remembered for her strength, creativity, her quick wit and love for making things around her beautiful. Throughout her life Lee selflessly donated to multiple causes, including animal rescue organizations, children’s charities and veteran’s groups, among others. Her family will lovingly remember her, particularly during the Christmas season, which was her favorite time of year. (Thank you God for creating the Hallmark channel!)

Calling hours will be held on Monday September 20th from 3-5 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. Funeral Services will be held in the Interfaith Chapel of the funeral home on Monday at 5:30 PM. Interment will be held privately for the family.
