Richard G. Brock (Dick) passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 82. He had often expressed his desire to all, that this was the way he wanted his life to end.

Richard is predeceased by his beloved bride, Dorothy (Ostrander) Brock; his father, Alfred Brock and mother, Cecelia [Normand] Brock; brothers, Alfred and Jim; sisters: Betty, Shirley, Carol, June, Sharon, Anita, and Diane; sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia DeJonge, Jane Lee,  Don and Jean Ostrander.

Richard is survived by his three loving children: Betty Brock-Porter (David), Richard C. Brock and David E. Brock (Carol); siblings: George Brock (Mary Ellen), Barbara (Jerry) Carney, and Bucky Brock (Sandy); brothers and sisters in-law: Mary Hamm, Carol (Tom) LaFever, Linda (Tom) Morris, Buck DeJonge, Richard (Jean) Ostrander, Ruth Coston and many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Oatmeal.

Dick was a Veteran of the U.S. Army,  a member of the National Guard, a lifetime member of Rochester ELKS Lodge #24,  a member of The Moose Lodge # 2290 , and of The American Legion Post  #1151. Dick retired from full time work at Castle Co. and then worked part time at Archival Methods. Dick was a devoted member of the community and a GOOD friend to all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

The family would like to give special thanks to Gregory and Christine Keenan (Ong) for all the support and friendship over the years, his best friend and co-hort in shenanigans, Rick (Sue) Ong and dear friend Tracy Thomas.

As Per Richard’s Wishes there will only be a Graveside service with Military Honors (Public Welcome) at 11 AM Saturday October 16th at Maplewood Cemetery 150 Middle Rd. Henrietta, NY.

A celebration of Life will follow at the Rochester Elks Lodge 3525 East Henrietta Rd. Henrietta, NY as we Celebrate the Ultimate “Dick Brock Fade-Away”
