Joe Okeefe's children: Would love to hear from one (or all of you). So sorry to learn that Joe passed away. Great guy. We last saw them both in ABay, for lunch one day. My husband, Ben DeMott is Joe's 1st cousin. His Mom was Helen Okeefe DeMott, sister to your Grandpa William Okeefe. BEN AND KAY DEMOTT 606 895 5259 OUR LOVE TO YOU ALL.

We are sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. We are blessed to have the O’Keefe family as river friends and neighbors for the past forty years. Joe will always be a part of our lives. The infectious smile, humorous stories, corny jokes, wonderful bread and positive attitude will not be forgotten. All the Brandano family members have their favorite “JoeO’Keefe” stories which we hope to share again on the porch for summers to come. A great man and a life well lived.

I grew up in the cottage next to the O'Keefe's cottage starting around 1982-ish, and I was about 8 years old. Mr. O'Keefe was such a kind, gentle man to my brothers and me. When I returned to TIP as an adult, Mr. O'Keefe would make me a loaf of bread. 😊 My condolences are with his family and friends. I know they carry on the legendary kind spirits of Mr. and Mrs. O'Keefe. -Katie (Brandano) Cusick
