Katherine Cottrell, age 50, of Irondequoit passed away January 27, 2022, after a courageous battle against ALS.

Katherine is survived by her four children: Kaitlyn (Matthew), Kennedy, Kameryn, Nickolas; her two grandchildren, Jude and Kasper; her siblings, John (Lisa) and Michelle (Julio); her parents, Angel and Margaret Rivera; and her nieces, nephew, and extended family.

Katherine was known for being an incredible mother and grandmother. She spent anytime she could visiting her older children and grandchildren in Virginia where she would spend her time at the beach, Busch Gardens, or just playing outside with her babies. She truly never missed a thing when it came to her kids, and she was always just a FaceTime away. She was happiest when all her children were together, and hopefully she has peace knowing that is how they will continue to spend their days moving forward. She was a beautiful and creative person who will be missed in an unimaginable way.

There will be a mass for Katherine at 10am on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Stanislaus Church (1124 Hudson Ave, Rochester, NY 14621) followed by calling hours from 3-7pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.). Anyone is welcome to come or stop by and show love and support.
