Jean Monica Decker (Krenzer), age 93, died peacefully in her home on Monday, October 19, 2020, where she lived for 80 years, with the support of family and the University of Rochester Hospice Care by her side
Jean was preceded in death by her father and mother, 14 brothers and sister, husband Donald of 46 year, daughter Deborah Hopkins and son Thomas.
Jean was a beloved wife and a mother of six children, Deborah Hopkins, Richard (Christine), Sheila Metzger (John), Thomas, Margaret O’Gorman (Robert) and Joseph.
Along with being a mother of six children, Jean also enjoyed spending time with her 10 grandchildren: Dale, Sheila, Paul, Christine, Jimmy, Matt, Patrick, Jackie, Elizabeth and Gabriella and adored her 11 great-grandchildren: Hayley, Hannah, Alexis, Abby, Maggie, Carter, Samantha, Greyson, Thomas, Nolan and Brady.
Jean worked at the State Hospital before starting her beloved career as a bus driver for Rush-Henrietta School District from 1977-1999. She cherished reuniting with previous students many years following retirement.
Due to the COVID pandemic, Jean will be laid to rest at The Maplewood Cemetery in a private service. A mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 10:30 am and can be viewed by CLICKING HERE
