Amanda Renee Sebring

February 26, 1986 to March 5, 2022

Amanda Renee Sebring, cherished by her family and friends, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022 of natural causes. Her death, caused by the sudden onset of a latent medical condition, was unexpected. She was only 36.

Amanda will be remembered by her parents Carol Borsa and Gerald Sebring, siblings Michael Sebring and Lauren Sebring, step-parents John Borsa and Leslie Sebring, step-siblings John Borsa and Gina O’Hora, as well as her extended family and her friends in Rochester and Raleigh. She will be dearly missed by her dog, Cooper, and her two cats, Chandler and Joey.

Amanda will be remembered most for her sharp sense of humor. Amanda combined her playful, biting wit with endearing sweetness to those for whom she cared, earning her the nickname of “sour patch kid”-a fitting name as those who knew her can attest. Amanda was also brilliant and an excellent student. Her academic accomplishments proudly include National Merit Scholarship, Honor Roll, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and Phi Alpha Delta.

An avid lover of both movies and television, Amanda even named her pets after her favorite characters. But where she was truly most happy was playing games with her family and friends. She loved puzzles, board games, card games, trivia games, darts, billiards, and any number of other games that gave her an opportunity to test herself. To see the visible joy on her face whenever she won was (almost) endearing enough to take the sting out of losing to her. She was enthusiastic about sushi, an avid fan of the U.S. women’s soccer team and of her local team, the North Carolina Courage, and above all else an extraordinarily loving and devoted caretaker to her pets Cooper, Chandler, and Joey.

Taken before her time, Amanda’s family and friends are in grief. But memories of the positive impact Amanda had on her loved ones while she was still with us will be the strength with which we will overcome the anguish of her passing.

Friends and family may call FRIDAY March 11, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Victor, Inc. (301 W. Main St., Victor, NY 14564). Service and interment will be held in private. A Recording of the Funeral Service can be viewed below.
