Passed away on March 14, 2022, at the age of 91. Predeceased by his parents, Richard and Irene [Alhart] Budgen; and siblings, Carl Budgen and Alice Mason. Survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Dolores [Gavin] Budgen; cherished children, Keith Budgen, Diane (Bob) Catullo, Ronald Budgen, David (Shelley) Budgen, Susan (Steven) Burke, Kathleen (Christopher) Hughes and Maryann (Stephen) Barkley; adored grandchildren, John (Tessa), Shawn (Jennifer), Jennifer, Carrie (Mike), Shawn (Dee), Jessica (Jeff), Jacqueline, Vincent (Angela), Nicholas (Christina), Anthony (Mary), Kevin (Anya), Bryan, Tyler, Michael, Jamie (Eric), Alexander (Jenna), Lauren and Meghan; 23 great-grandchildren (and one on the way).

Born in Rochester, NY on July 12, 1930, Dean enlisted in the United States Air Force which took him South to Alabama and Texas. Writing daily letters to his sweetheart Dolores, whom he married on June 7, 1952. A hardworking man, he raised his family mostly in Rochester. His job as a mechanical engineer began at Singer and ended at Xerox. After his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling, camping with his grandchildren, playing his piano and making memories with family and friends. Dean will be remembered for love of family and friends, his serious Scrabble skills, his witty personality and of course his love of all things sweet especially cookies.

Friends may call on FRIDAY March 25th from 4 – 7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South).

Dean’s Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY March 26th at 10 AM at St. Marianne Cope Parish at Guardian Angels (2601 East Henrietta Road). CLICK HERE for a map to Church

Procession will follow to Holy Speulchre Cemetery.
