Carolyn J Chirico passed away on April 27th, 2022, surrounded by loved ones in the home of her daughter Micha. She was 82 years old. She was predeceased by her husband Rosario Chirico, who died in 2013 on exactly the same day.
A native of Watertown, NY, she moved to the Rochester area in 1961, spending most of her life here. She raised three children—two daughters and a son—and, relatively late in life, founded C&C Industries, a successful marketing and fulfillment company, which she ran until retirement in 2008. Everyone who met her was charmed by her sense of humor, keen insight and generosity, which were not only the primary ingredients for the success of her business, but are traits still visible in her children and grandchildren. She also passed along a love of gardening, cooking, movies and storytelling, along with a capacity for self-invention that sustained her through many of her life’s changes.
She is survived by her daughters Lynn and Micha, son David, granddaughters Autumn, Katie and Kandice, grandson Michael, siblings Jeanne and Terry, as well as her many great-grandchildren: Kit, Ariana, Trent, Jojo and Cam.
Carolyn’s Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2022 at 1:00 PM in The Interfaith Chapel at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. They are located at 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester NY, 14623.
