Doris [Kick] Wilmot, of Pittsford, passed peacefully on June 12, 2022 at age 89. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert L. (Big Bob) Wilmot; her parents, Charles and Flora Kick; brothers: Charlie, Don and Tom Kick. Doris is survived by her five children: Robert J. Wilmot, Michael (Sandy) Wilmot, Betty Anne (Warren) Waldow; Barbara (Bill) Cowley, Ellen (Tim) Gaffney; fifteen grandchildren: Lauren (Jim) Shaughnessy, Kari and Julie Wilmot, Meagan (Greg) Ekimoff, Michael Mahar, Jack (Libby) Mahar, Kate (Brad) Delano and Ray Mahar; Drew (Katherine) Cowley, Rhett, Maeve, and Trevor Cowley; Bobby, C.J., and Shane Gaffney; seven great- grandchildren; Ryder, Nora, Owen, Lily, William, Carter and Monroe.

Doris was the consummate wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a life of humble and committed service to her family, friends, and community. Doris was an active member at St. Louis Parish for decades, serving as Sacristan, singing for the Resurrection and Mercy Choirs. As a Eucharistic Minister she brought Communion to the sick and in firmed at The Highlands and throughout the parish. Becoming an Associate with the Sisters of Mercy was the spiritual highlight of her life, ministering to those in need and fellowshipping with her beloved Sisters. Doris was delighted to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and her extended Wilmot and Kick families, cooking, fishing at the lakes, and playing euchre and pinochle. Doris was an imposing woman with a fiery spirit, quick wit, infectious smile, and a deep, abiding faith in Christ. She will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, friends, family and all who were blessed to know her.
