Michael P. Kolozvary Sr.
Rochester: July 6, 2022, at age 78.
He is survived by his loving wife Kitty; their children, Michael (Elizabeth Arthur MD) and Anne. Grandchildren Catherine, Maddie, Abigail and Evan, as well as numerous dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents Emil and Catherine Kolozvary, sister Patricia and son Gregory. He is survived by his siblings Geraldine (Larry), Jon (Karen), Margaret, and Stephen (Barbara) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was a 57-year member of UA Local 13, and was a plumber by trade. He was also an instructor in the Apprenticeship Program and was certified through Purdue University. Mike was skilled in many things to include mechanics, wood working and nearly anything to do with building things. Mike was nicknamed “MacGyver” by coworkers and family for his ability to find solutions to problems.
He loved to travel in his retirement, and especially enjoyed visiting the Low Country of South Carolina and leaves many friends there. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. Mike was a supporter of the Military Services and Police. “God Bless Our Troops”
Friends are invited to join his family in a Mass of Catholic Burial at St Pius Tenth Church (3010 Chili Avenue) at 10:30 Monday July 11. The family will be receiving guests beginning at 9:30 with mass following at 10:30. Luncheon will be served following the services at the Parish Center.
