Henrietta: December 19, 1925 – August 6, 2022. Predeceased by her parents Edward J. and Frances M. Duffy; brothers John, Francis, and Robert Duffy; sisters Elizabeth Duffy, Ruth Bancroft, and Patricia Consolmagno; granddaughter Julie Baudy; and beloved husband of 67 years, John B. Trombly. She is survived by her children: Patricia J. (David) Pogue of W. Henrietta, NY, Kathleen M. Moffett of Dallas, TX, Suzanne E. Bosworth of Scotia, NY, Janine M. (Robert) DiCarlo, of Rochester, NY, John B. (Kimberly) Trombly of Williamson, NY; grandchildren: Melanie (Omar) Phillips and Darrell (Sally) Pogue, Dustin, Darcy, and Derrick Moffett, Dani (Bruno) Jardim-Vieira, Heather Gilboy, Sophie, Nicholas and Patrick DiCarlo, Ryan and Evan Trombly; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters in-law Elizabeth Poitras and Isabel Trombly; brother in-law, Gillis “Loy” (Penny) Green; many nieces and nephews.
Born in Plattsburgh, NY, Jean graduated from Plattsburgh State Teachers College in 1947 with a degree in Home Economics, before settling in Scotia with her husband John to raise their family. She was an avid and lifelong crafter and homemaker; her creative talents ranged from knitting to sewing to cooking, and she was always willing to learn something new and tackle any challenge that came her way. Jean’s life was rooted in her Irish heritage and her deep faith in God, and guided by her love and care for her family, near and far.
The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to the team of caregivers who supported Mom in her own home until the end.
Friends and family may call SUNDAY August 14, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., (3325 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623).
Jean’s Funeral Mass will be held MONDAY August 15, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Marianne Cope Parish, St. Joseph’s Church, (1209 Rush-West Rush Road, Rush, NY).
Interment Ascension Garden.
