Richard Gianforti Sr. Passed away on September 22, 22 at age 80. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gianforti; children, Kara Gianforti, Jessica Thompson, Richard (Julie) Gianforti Jr., David (Dana) Mauro, Stephen (Susan) Mauro and Deborah (Collocio) Conge; grandchildren, Tyr Jefferson, J.P., Megan and Bennett Gianforti, Rebecca (C.J.) Mauro-Macklin, Alicia (Craig) Pruner, Nicholas (Brittany) Mauro, Michelle Mauro, Christopher (Brady) Triest, Samantha (David) Biles and Eric (Emily) Vant; great grandchildren, Caleb, Noah, Ariella, Cameron, Logan and Cadence; brother, James Gianforti, Sr.; many nieces and nephews.

Beloved son of Bert and Rosemary Gianforti, Richard served in the Army in his younger years and is most well known as the second generation Co-owner of his beloved Flower City Glass Company. Richard was one of the most generous fun loving, friendly people, and a stellar member of the Rochester area community, and supported countless area charitable causes to help his community in any way he could. An avid golfer and winter resident of Fort Myers Florida, His love of family was the most important thing for him. He will never be forgotten and always missed.

Family and friends are invited to his Memorial Mass, 10 am, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church (15 St Mary’s Pl, Rochester, NY 14607 Click for Map). Interment will be private. Following Mass the family will continue to celebrate Richard’s life at Monroe Golf Club, starting at 12 pm. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Shepherd Home Donate Online or School of the Holy Childhood Donate Online.
