Beverly Joan Wilkins (Cotter)
It is with heartbreak and great sadness that the family of Beverly Joan (Cotter) Wilkins announces her passing after a brief illness, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved children.
Born on October 27, 1932, in Canandaigua and raised in Victor, Beverly was a lifetime local area resident. Most recently, she lived in the Gypsum Mills community of Victor. She enjoyed a successful career as an Activities Director for Elm Manor and the Ontario County Health Facility. Her artistic and musical talents brought great joy to the patients that she served, and she continued to volunteer for many years beyond her retirement. She loved the community and was an enormous animal lover having many beloved pets over the years. However, her most precious fulfillment in life was her three children.
Beverly’s surviving family includes her beloved children including daughters, Valerie K. Wilkins of Farmington, NY, Vicki L. Wilkins of Victor, NY and son Michael C. Wilkins of Pittsburgh, PA. and, she was especially close with her beautiful niece, Casey Anderson Paige of Victor, NY and sister-in-law, Helen Cotter of Marion Center, PA. She was the last sibling to survive from parents, Andrew James Cotter and Hilma Pihl Cotter. Her siblings were Jean Cotter, Charles “Chubby” Cotter, Judith Cotter Anderson and James Cotter. She also survived by countless friends that she loved dearly and meant the world to her.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Beverly at the Gypsum Mills Community Center located at 6390 Plaster Mill Rd, Victor, NY 14564 on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. Her final resting place will be in the East Bloomfield Cemetery, East Bloomfield NY. Those who wish to make memorial donations in memory of Beverly may do so at one of her favorite rescue organizations, Pet Pride of New York Inc (www.petprideny.org) 7731 Victor Mendon Rd, Victor, NY 14564 and/or another no-kill shelter organization.
