On November 3, 2022 at age 63. Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Patricia and James Quigley, sister Colleen. He is survived by his wife Katharine ‘Kay’ Quigley.  Siblings, Daniel (Judy Maxwell) Quigley, Eileen (Peter) Bauman, Maureen Quigley, Michael Quigley, Kathleen Quigley; nephews and niece, Daniel (Sarah) Bauman, James (Marissa) Bauman, goddaughter Shalyn (Andrew) Gregson, James (Sally Metiva) Quigley; also survived by his extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Dennis was married to the love of his life, Kay, for 21 years.  Together they looked forward to their vacations on Cape Cod, the Adirondacks and boating on Conesus and Keuka Lakes. He was proud of his Irish heritage which was evident in his mischievous smile, quick wit and gift of gab. Dennis was an exceptional auto mechanic and he treated customers like family.  He had a lifelong fondness for anything with a motor.  A contented grin was usually in full display when he drove his lawn mowers or golf cart.  The grin would be replaced with a full-fledged smile when aboard his John Deere tractor. He also enjoyed the outdoors, golfing at Craigie Brae, hunting, fishing, camping, and bonfires in his backyard. Celebrating holidays with family and friends was one of his favorite things to do.

‘Uncle Dennis’ lovingly referred to all the small children in his life as “little baby goo-goos”. Mostly, he loved and enjoyed the time spent his family and many friends.

Dennis will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral Mass to be Friday, November 11, 2022, 11:00 AM, at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, 601 Edgewood Ave. Rochester, NY  14618. The family requests no flowers please.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity that was close to Dennis’ heart:  Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester, NY 14623 or a charity of your choice.
